Playing with Purpose: A Coaching Group for Emerging Leaders

This is an opportunity for emerging leaders. It is designed specifically for those in their 20s and early 30s. (If you are not in that range but feel like this description fits you, please reach out!).

Playing with Purpose

Psychologists have long theorized about the rich and dynamic period of young adulthood. While the fundamental task of finding one’s place in society — of feeling like you are contributing in a meaningful and genuine way — remains constant, young adults in the modern workplace often find themselves feeling untethered as they try to establish a sense of purpose in an increasingly unpredictable and open-ended world.

For example, there is a new cultural emphasis on career choices that prioritize or enable clear work/life boundaries, in which a primary goal of employment is to provide resources for the pursuit of meaning and fulfillment outside of work. And yet, this shift is not happening at a time when community and belonging are flourishing, but rather during a time when life outside of work is increasingly isolating, expensive, and disconnected.

Navigating such contradictions, and being present for your life now, requires new skills, supports, and structures. It also requires a creative spirit and a willingness to play, another aspect of modern life that is sorely under appreciated.

This group is for you if you are:

  • Feeling disengaged, stagnant, or directionless in your current role

  • Plagued by a fear of wasting time, but at the same time unsure of the most valuable way to use your time

  • Prone to an arrival fallacy (i.e., I will feel successful/worthy/valuable once I….”)

  • Trying to find a sense of purpose that transcends a work/life binary

  • Interested in defining your success on own terms, while recognizing that the best learning is done in community

Why Group Coaching:

Coaching groups offer the best of both worlds – individualized attention and community connection – in a more financially accessible format.

The small group coaching environment will enable you to meaningfully connect with peers navigating a similar life stage, while exposing you to a diversity of ideas and perspectives. Together we will develop a foundation of trust that will enable us to come together in the sacred act of witnessing — one another’s challenges, vulnerabilities, strengths, and transformations — while experiencing mutual growth.

The Coaching Partnership:

Coaching is a partnership grounded in respect and autonomy. It is my sincere belief that you are the singular expert on your experience. Therefore, my goal as a coach is to use reflective practices and deep listening to facilitate the mobilization of your own internal resources. We’ll sprinkle in lots of joy and care along the way.
